Charles E. Church Recreational Centre

Charles E. Church Recreational Centre (a.k.a. The Park!) is the District of Chester’s recreational centre with an ice arena, four-sheet curling rink, three tennis courts, a baseball diamond and much more!

Chester Art Centre

The Chester Art Centre is the only year-round visual arts organization in the municipality of Chester. Offering workshops, lectures, exhibitions and events in a classic Chester cottage which features a main floor exhibition space and classroom, a full kitchen; the upstairs is the Art Centre office

Chester Golf Course

Chester Golf Club offers visitors the magic of a classic golf course in a seaside setting. The course routing provides a golfing adventure that is both challenging and enjoyable for all skill levels. It is a joy to play, whether you aspire to break one hundred twenty or par of seventy. Any missed shots will be due to the distracting beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, the islands, and the colourful sailboats tacking in the wind.

Chester Playhouse Theatre

The Chester Playhouse proudly presents live music, theatre, comedy and film presentations throughout the entire year.

Chester Skate Park

The Municipality of Chester’s Recreation & Parks Team welcomes you to the Chester Skate Park which has the reputation from both skateboarders and BMXers as being one of the best parks in the province to ride. The size, design, features and general atmosphere of the park attracts a wide range of age and skill level.

Chester Yacht Club

The Chester Yacht Club (CYC) is a private sailing club situated on beautiful Mahone Bay with excellent access to the best sailing in Canada.

Explore Oak Island Display (combined into Station 20?)

The Explore Oak Island Display at the Chester Train Station is home to the Oak Island display featuring artifacts, pictures and information about the world famous treasure hunt. 

Freda's Beach

Freda’s Beach is the sweetest little beach on the South Shore! Just past the Lido Pool and right beside the Chester Yacht Club – the sandy shore makes the perfect spot for finding sea creatures or watching the boats sail by.

Lido Pool

Summer just isn’t as sweet without a dip in our lovely Lido Pool. Located between the Parade Square and the outer back harbour – this wonderful saltwater pool is as refreshing as it is beautiful.

Lordly House Museum

The Lordly House Museum is a municipal museum that works toward promoting and cultivating awareness of the unique heritage of the Municipality of the District of Chester.

Lordly Park

Spanning an entire block in the Village of Chester, Lordly Park is a treasured part of our community.

The children’s playground includes multiple slides, monkey bars, swings, spring cars and more!

There’s also a beautiful picnic area, an open gazebo for live performances and special events, and a natural wetland too.
