Chester Playhouse Theatre

The Chester Playhouse is a newly-rebuilt soft-seat theatre which presents something for everyone.

Located at 22 Pleasant Street in Chester (Meneskwe’k, Mi’kmaqi), where the community has gathered for over 85 years, this non-profit charity brings patrons of all ages together to enjoy compelling live stage productions, electrifying musicians, delightful variety performances, a curated selection of arthouse and Hollywood films, and much more.

The Playhouse also offers arts education, including summer camps, workshops, and classes for youth and adults.
