Chester artist Carol Hansen will open The Captain’s House Gallery on June 26, 2021. The two-hundred-year-old building is located on Chester’s Back Harbour.

The Station 20 Handcraft Shoppe carries a wonderfully curated assortment of lovely handmade Nova Scotian crafts, rugs, knitting, woodworking and more… plus vintage linens, and furniture for sale. Located just off North Street, the Chester Train Station is a landmark in the community, built circa 1905 and home to the Chester Municipal Heritage Society. It was once a full-service station built for the Halifax & South Western Railway Company. Today the old train station houses the Station 20 Handcraft Shoppe and Museum along with The Explore Oak Island Display.

The Village Emporium gift shop is located at the corner of Queen & Pleasant Streets in the seaside village of Chester, Nova Scotia. Our gift shop proudly houses a wide variety of locally handcrafted products and a selection of items from away.
